I use post-its in my classroom all of the time. This is even more prevalent now that I am not supposed to go near to any of my students. They each get a stack of post-its because we are not allowed to share supplies. I have probably purchased more supplies this year than I have in the past simply because now everyone has to have their own things. They keep them in a ziplock bag and never take them out of their backpacks to leave at home or in another class. Each one of them has their own set of post-it notes that they write me notes on and hold up or write answers on as we go through class. It gives me a chance to see quickly when someone has a request or what answers they believe are correct/incorrect. They also are small enough that you don't feel guilty writing just a word or two on them and wasting the whole sheet of paper. These have a good amount of stick and will stay on a finger for at least four minutes without falling off.
